The football league have announced their nominations for the League One Family Club of the year plus the League One Community Club of the year.
In addition to this Southend’s Stuart O’Keefe has been nominated for Apprentice of the Year.
Well done to Stuart who recently earned a 1st team start for the Blues, against Leeds
What a fantastic advert for the way that the club is operating, we will of course be up against some stiff competition.
In the Family Club section we will square up against MK Dons, Swindon Town and Yeovil Town.
And in the Community Club award we will be up against Brighton, Colchester United, Leyton Orient and Oldham Athletic.
This will be the fourth year of the awards and will be held at Grosvenor House, London on the 29th March 2009.
Personally I think it is a sign of how things are progressing behind the scenes and gives us a look at what the future can hold.
More news to follow as it happens….

Cheeky!! Matt,
I’m sure you wouldn’t be too down if your county neighbours picked up this award?
… I’m sure I might be a little upset by that… banter is all the better!
