Coker Choker

The news was meant to be positive with Ben Coker after initial fears were high following his elbow injury in Saturday’s one-one draw with Oxford United, but we’ve now found out that he’ll not be in action until mid to late January 2015!

Ripped tendons and damaged ligaments in his elbow will require surgery.

As a result Coker, who picked up an injury that Phil Brown said the surgeon who will operate on the defender hasn’t seen many of, will now be absent for around four months.

To think that such damage could be caused from merely falling awkwardly, as the 25 year old had.

Brown will almost certainly be looking into the loan market for cover now as this isn’t a short term setback that can be filled by others ‘filling in’ can it. I was so positive, and optimistic, after Brown had said earlier this week in an interview that his and Conor Clifford’s injuries weren’t as bad as first thought.
