Manager Phil Brown has said that Wycombe Wanderers will be formidable opponents this weekend at Wembley in the League Two Play Off Final.

The game will be Brown’s third trip to the national stadium and having had tough games against them already this season, he told the Official Site that he wasn’t expecting any thing different for this weekend.

‘We played Wycombe Wanderers twice this season and they’re a decent side. They’ll be a formidable opposition on Saturday, that’s for sure. The scars of Stevenage and the 94th minute penalty missed made it exciting. It’s nice to be involved in situations like that as long as you come through the other side. Stevenage is gone now and we look forward to Saturday at Wembley. The stakes are high and may the best team win.’

As for team news, Brown went on to say that he has some ‘fantastic options’ for the game as everybody bar Adam Thompson who has a dislocated shoulder has been out in training this week trying to impress to get a spot in the team for the game.

‘90% of the team has been selected over the 48 games this season. The consistency level has been first class. With the 49th game of the season, I know my best team. Apart from Adam Thompson – who’s out with a dislocated shoulder – every member of the squad is on the training pitch today, so I have some fantastic options. It’s a big game and I think the disappointing part from the media is about my time at Hull City. There’s only one game I’m interested in this weekend and that’s Southend United vs. Wycombe Wanderers.’
