Southend had Cauley Woodrow on loan from Fulham earlier in the season and you could see that the young striker has ability, and potential to go on and do well, but I don’t think too many of us would’ve expected him to be featuring in the Premier League this season.

He made his Fulham debut on Saturday though.

A game that Fulham had to win to keep alive their Premier League survival hopes saw them make the bold, some might say stupid, move of giving the eighteen year old his Premier League debut as he partnered another debutant up front.

Watching Match of the Day he looked okay but his inexperience was highlighted and his pairing didn’t really work, maybe they made this move more with next season in mind and perhaps Championship football being accepted as happening next season where he could play more.

I didn’t think that the striker would play for Fulham when they recalled him, with him not starting enough for us, but I wish him well.
