Vital View – League One – 14th October 2017
The League One season continued with the latest round of games played over the weekend.

Oxford’s third straight win – when the U’s won at Bristol Rovers – took them into the top six. Bradford retained third despite a loss at Bury, which allowed the Shakers to climb out of the bottom four.

A third straight loss – fourth in five – for Northampton saw them drop to second bottom but AFC Wimbledon’s win at Sixfields wasn’t enough to take the Dons out of the relegation zone themselves, remaining below Rochdale – who drew at Fleetwood – on goal difference.

Oldham’s winning run continued when the Latics ended Blackburn’s winning run.

Leaders Shrewsbury has to settle for a point at Plymouth, failure to beat the bottom side meant the Shrews lost top spot to Wigan on goal difference after the Latics beaten Southend comfortably.

2-0 wins for Portsmouth and Rotherham from the visits of MK Dons and Scunthorpe saw Pompey close to within a point of the play off place – the Millers remain in them in fourth due to a third straight victory.
