Tilson warns Southampton

Southend manager Steve Tilson has rubbished the latest rumour linking striker Freddy Eastwood with a move away from Roots Hall.

Saints chairman Rupert Lowe has suggested the south coast club were preparing a bid for Eastwood, or Swanseaa forward Lee Trundle

But Tilson told the club website: ‘We’re not worried about holding on to Freddy.

‘I’ve not heard anything about this rumour yet again. Southampton haven’t made any sort of approach – and until they do, that is just speculation.’
