Another away game should see Southend score, it’s at Roots Hall that we draw nil-nil regularly but away from home we’re scoring goals and winning games. We’re at Fratton Park to face Portsmouth on Saturday.

Portsmouth should have James Dunne available despite a knock last Saturday but injuries continue to keep out Tom Craddock and Wes Fogden. West Ham loanee Paul McCallum could be given a start.

Gary Deegan was our latest player sent off last Saturday so he’ll miss this through suspension with Cian Bolger completing his own ban. Phil Brown was also sent off in our three-two win over Oxford United but our manager isn’t facing further punishment so will take his place in the dugout. Adam Barrett could make his second debut but Kevan Hurst isn’t quite fit.

A point should be the least we expect from this as Portsmouth haven’t been the threat this season they were expected to be so we shouldn’t have anything to fear on the South Coast.
