Another of the striker options that Phil Brown is taking under consideration this summer has been confirmed by our manager, in his Echo interview, as being Jacob Blyth.

Brown says that he’s done his homework on the 21 year old Leicester City striker, who signed a new two year contract with the Premier League side earlier this month, who he feels could be a good addition to our squad next season to help us with our assault on League 2.

Leicester signed Blyth from Leamington in 2012 and he’s done well during loan spells with other clubs with him having two loan spells with Northampton Town last season where he managed three goals in eight games, which was disrupted by injuries. More striking options are needed and a loan move for Blyth would help increase his options and if he can stay injury free I could see him being a good option as I’ve seen bits of him that look impressive.
