In the last match Southend suffered another defeat, back-to-back league and cup defeats to Gillingham saw the Blues move onto Port Vale with that also lost.

Sheffield United will host us tonight. They’ve yet to win under a new boss with Chris Wilder appointed this summer after being appointed having guided Northampton to the League 2 title.

There’s not too much to worry about at the moment but that Southend defeat at Port Vale meant the Blues set a new record of successive defeats with the defeats to start this season added to the last.

What will happen in this one though?

Cast your vote so we know if you think it’ll be all smiles or disappointment for Southend come the full time whistle.
