Following a highly successful debut season with Southend Ryan Cresswell was named in the PFA League Two Team of the Season.

Cresswell insists that he’s happy at Roots Hall, however it’s been reported that he’s finding it hard to settle in the south, as he’s always been a northern-based player?

The Echo is reporting that both Fleetwood and Chesterfield are interested in the former Rotherham man, with Fleetwood having lodged the first bid for him but the £50,000 offer has been rejected.

25-year-old Cresswell does have another year on his current Shrimpers deal so there’s no pressure to sell, however should the right offer come in though and it’s a chance for him to get a northern move the runner-up in Southend’s Player of the Year Award could yet be prised away!
