Southend have officially confirmed that Jack Bridge has left the club for a loan spell with non-league outfit Chelmsford.

The 19-year-old, who has already had a loan spell with Soham Town this season, will spent the next month with the Conference South outfit with it decided that the midfielder’s development would be better suited with first-team football elsewhere as opposed to reserve football with us.

Bridge has plenty of time ahead of him with Phil Brown already moving to stress that he’s ‘still got a future’ with the club even though we’ve agreed to this loan, which could be extended beyond it’s original month.
