Southend travel down to Bournemouth tomorrow with some valued players back in training and available for selection for both sides.

With Brentford winning their last fixture, the gap between first and second place is now only six points and fans will be thinking back to last season when the Shrimpers were in a familiar nail biting situation with the LDV Vans Final and in the promotion playoffs.

Come on Southend!!

Vital Quotes:

Steve Tilson speaking with World TV:-
‘It was a decent result for us last weekend and a performance that lends itself well for tomorrow’s game against Bournemouth. The other teams around us not getting three points was a plus for us as well but can’t rely on the other teams to help us out.’

Sean O’Driscoll speaking with the Official Bournemouth F.C. Website:-
‘You can spin it every which way you want. There will be a big crowd and the whole place will be lifted by that. They’re a good side, clear at the top and you’ve got to give them credit for doing that on the back of a promotion last season. They’ve got a front two as good as any in the division.’

Bournemouth Team News:

Karl Broadhurst, Callum Hart and Marcus Browning have all now returned to training with Neil Moss awaiting news of the exact damage to his ankle ligaments.

Josh Gowling, Shaun Maher and Warren Cummings are all still on the injured list.

Player to watch: James Hayter

Southend Team News:

The only other definate out for this clash is number two keeper Bart Griemink who is still getting back to 100% fitness from his knee injury.

Player to watch: Freddy Eastwood – Who Else

Can Freddy weave his magic again?, or will he be helping out Shaun Goater in his last seven matches of his career.
