Latest reports suggest The FA will contact keeper Darryl Flahavan over the allegations of biting involving Bradford’s Dean Windass.

A statement from the FA read: ‘Given the lack of conclusive video evidence or evidence provided from the players concerned, there was insufficient basis for any disciplinary action. However, following the latest public comments by Flahavan, the FA has again contacted the player requesting any information he can provide on the matter.’

The FA deny not contacting Flahavan over the allegations:

‘Flahavan has since incorrectly claimed in the media that he was not contacted by the FA for his testimony. The FA wrote to Flahavan and Southend United on 10 August referring to the alleged incident, asking him to provide a statement if he wished to take this matter further. No response was received.’

Marcus Browning complained but has decided to take the matter no further.

‘In relation to the alleged incident involving Marcus Browning, the FA again contacted the player and his club. AFC Bournemouth subsequently confirmed that he did not wish to proceed or pursue a complaint.’
