Dan Bentley, so wrongly, came in for some Twitter criticism from internet trolls after the draw with Shrewsbury at the weekend but he reacted, just as Phil Brown had said was the best way possible, by keeping yet another cleansheet for us in our win over Cheltenham on Tuesday.

Dave Penney has also come to his defence, he can’t ‘understand why people go on Twitter’ anyway; even less so that people worry about what people who ‘haven’t got a clue’ think….

Penney also spoke about Penney’s ability and told the Echo that he feels he’s the best ‘keeper outside of the Premier League and Championship and those having a pop should be grateful that he plays for us – they’ll miss him when he’s gone!

‘Dan has been outstanding in the two years I have been here and you can count his mistakes on one finger.

‘In my opinion Dan’s the best goalkeeper in this league and probably the league above as well.

‘People should look and see what they’ve got and be very grateful for what they have between the sticks.’

I think the likes of West Ham, Leeds, Nottingham Forest would all agree, they’ve reportedly shown an interest in Bentley previously – if we can get into league 1 maybe we can still keep him?

What do these trolls have to say for themselves now I wonder….
